How to Measure
Choose your mounting style and follow the steps below for accurate measurements.
Recommended Tools
- Tape measure
- Pencil and paper
- Step stool (if needed)
Before You Start
Look at your window handles and surroundings. Decide where you want your blinds to hang:
- 1. Inside the window frame (recess mount)
- 2. Outside the window frame (face mount)
Recess Mount (Inside Frame)
Measure the Height
Measure from the top to the bottom of the window recess. Subtract 6 cm from this number to account for the mechanism. This is your height measurement.
Measure the Width
Measure from side to side inside the window recess. This is your width measurement.
Face Mount (Outside Frame)
Measure the Width
Decide how far you want the blinds to extend beyond each side of the window, then measure the total distance between these two points. This is your width measurement.
Measure the Height
Decide how high above the window you want the blinds to be fixed, then measure down to where you want them to end (window sill or floor). This is your height measurement.
Pro Tip
Always double-check your measurements before ordering!
